The house was built by my great-grandfather in 1916. Located behind a historic archway in the heart of Ruit, it has a nostalgic charm. The builder was a cooper and built a workshop that was located on the ground floor of the building. A small apartment on the first floor was expanded and lived in in the 1950s. In 1982 the entire building was renovated and the attic was also expanded to provide additional living space. The house was redesigned with a lot of commitment and renovated again and again in order to preserve it for the future. By having the cozy living/dining room with exposed beams as well as the kitchen and a toilet on the first floor, a certain separation is created between the lively and quiet areas. On the first floor there is the living room, dining area, a small toilet and the kitchen, while the bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor offer a quieter and more intimate atmosphere. The sloping ceiling gives the bedroom and workplace a cozy and inviting character. The small workstation is particularly practical as it offers a quiet space for concentrated work without having to move too far from the sleeping area ;) In the heart of Ruit you are in an ideal location with short distances to shopping and the tram within walking distance and can go about your everyday life very comfortably and practically. At the same time, the proximity to the state capital Stuttgart, the historic town of Esslingen and the nearby airport offers many advantages in terms of job opportunities, cultural offerings and travel options. The cottage is in such a convenient location that it makes daily life easier and offers many options. The proximity to the hospital and the thoroughfare to Stuttgart certainly also brings with it background noise, such as the siren of the ambulance or the noise of traffic.
