Moreover, over time that place was chosen by the people to hold the most important religious and profane festivities of the parish.
According to tradition, six centuries ago the space where Olhos d'Água is located today was divided into two: the so-called 'Eye of the Wednesdays' was the most emblematic space of this set, used by the population, exclusively, for the supply of drinking water; and the 'Queen's Eye', a designation found by the people to evoke the passage of D. Segundo reza a tradição, há seis séculos o espaço onde hoje se localizam os Olhos d’Água foi dividido em dois: o chamado ‘Olho das Quartas’ foi o espaço mais emblemático deste conjunto, usado pela população, de forma exclusiva, para o abastecimento de água potável; e o ‘Olho da Rainha’, designação encontrada pelo povo para evocar a passagem de D.
