In the town of Góis it is possible to find two of the best and most beautiful river beaches in the central region: the River Beach of Peneda/ Pego Escuro and the River Beach of Canaveias. To the south of the municipality you can see a hill, in the shape of a giant pyramid, with 1045 meters of altitude called Penedo de Góis.
From the architectural heritage, the combination of Gothic art composed of the Mother Church and the tomb of D. Luís da Silveira, the ceilings of the noble hall of the Town Hall, which represent biblical figures of great interest, the Pombal Fountain and the Cistern with Hispano-Arabic tiles dating from the 16th century and the Royal Bridge.
